Analytical method robustness

Understanding the question
Robustness evaluation investigates how a procedure responds to selected variations. The tested factors and ranges define the scope of the finding. It does not mean the method works under any conditions.
A worked example
In a teaching exercise, a method remains suitable after a small documented adjustment of one parameter. The reviewer keeps that limited conclusion. It would be a different claim to say that a large change in an unrelated parameter is also harmless without testing or justified knowledge.

Identify which factors were varied and how suitability was judged. Do not use the word robust as a substitute for the actual conditions or extrapolate beyond the supporting evidence.
